Getting started

What is AwardForge?+

A subscription web app that helps you draft unclassified U.S. military awards and citations in a branch-appropriate structure. You bring the facts; AwardForge helps you shape a draft you can edit. It is not a DoD system of record.

Who is AwardForge for?+

You—when you are drafting an award or citation for yourself or someone you are helping, one package at a time. Every output still needs your review and your chain of command before anything is official.

How do I sign in?+

Use Google or Apple from the site header. You need an account to save drafts and run generations through the wizard.

Wizard and facts

Will the AI invent achievements or numbers?+

No. AwardForge is built to structure only what you enter. Fill in missing facts yourself before you send anything up your chain of command.

Can I paste classified or CUI text?+

No. Use unclassified information only. Do not enter operational details that require classified handling.

Which branches are supported?+

Army, Air Force/Space Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and joint/DoD routing paths—with prompts aligned to common issuance conventions.

What is command-specific guidance?+

When your unit has uploaded local policy (where enabled), you can attach it under Settings to steer formatting. Official issuances still govern final wording—you verify everything before submission.

Usage and billing

How do monthly generation limits work?+

Your plan includes a monthly generation allowance shown in the header. One generation is a full run through the award wizard. The count resets at the start of each calendar month. Higher tiers include more generations; standard and premium model lanes depend on your plan. Unlimited+ scales with your subscription up to a fair-use cap set when your plan syncs. See the Pricing page for plan comparison and more billing answers.

Where do I subscribe or change my plan?+

Sign in, open Settings → Subscriptions, and choose a plan or manage billing from there. Prices are shown at checkout; compare tiers on the Pricing page before you subscribe.

Security and compliance

Is output officially approved?+

No. Everything AwardForge produces is a drafting aid. Your chain of command and governing issuances decide what is approved.

Is AwardForge affiliated with DoD?+

No. It is an independent tool. Verify every fact and format against current service guidance before you submit.

Account and data

Can I export my data?+

Yes. Open Settings and use data export to download a copy of your information. Export before you delete your account if you want to keep a record.

How do I delete my account?+

Use Settings → delete account. Your account data is removed as described in the Privacy Policy.
