Wizard tutorial

Follow these steps from sign-in through citation export. Optional Summary of Action appears when your award type requires it.

    Sign in

    Create an account or sign in from the header. Accept Terms and Privacy, then complete branch, rank (pay grade), and duty position in the setup dialog.

    • You can use email/password or Google or Apple sign-in.
    • Your drafts stay tied to your account in Firestore.
    • Subscription and usage limits apply after account setup is complete.

    Administrative details

    Select branch, award type, member rank and name, duty position, and time period. Choose component vs joint routing when applicable.

    • Use facts you can verify—dates, ranks, and positions must match official records.
    • Command-specific guidance can be attached under Settings if your unit uploaded policies.

    Award narrative

    Enter achievement context and story beats. The AI organizes your facts; it does not invent events or metrics.

    • Quantify impact where possible (percentages, timelines, scope).
    • Leave gaps empty rather than guessing—the wizard may flag missing context.

    Summary of action (when required)

    Some award types need a Summary of Action before the citation. Follow your branch format and review AI suggestions carefully.

    • SOA steps appear only for award types that require them.
    • Edit generated text before submitting to your board.

    Citation

    Generate a branch-appropriate citation draft, run compliance review, and export PDF when ready.

    • Check character limits and opening/closing lines for your service.
    • Save to the dashboard to reopen and edit later.
  6. 6

    Dashboard and settings

    Reopen saved awards from the dashboard. Manage subscription, export data, or request account deletion in Settings.

    • Export your data before deleting an account.
    • Report slow AI or product issues via Settings → improvement request.
